No matter how much time your cat spends licking their fur, they simply can’t fully groom themselves and remove all of the excess fur and grease from their coat. And unfortunately, the things your cat can’t lick away can lead to some pretty severe complications. Having your cat professionally groomed is a crucial element of being a devoted pet parent, and it’s about so much more than just keeping your furry family member looking their best. Professional feline grooming also prevents and solves problematic skin and coat issues.

Do Cats Really Need Professional Grooming?

Yes! Whether they have long hair or short, every cat benefits from regular grooming. As a loving pet owner, you don’t want your cat to suffer from painful mats or skin conditions. Sadly, that’s exactly what tends to happen when cats don’t receive adequate grooming.

I’ve had cats for a couple of decades now, but once I got a (rescued) Himalayan and the Calm Cat Whisperer kept showing up in my feeds, it seemed like it was time to find a cat groomer. Jana is exactly what you hope your cat will have: she is friendly, warm, and wholly professional. My cat had never been groomed before and doesn’t love being held, but Jana was able to manage her with ease—and removed a ton of hair that was making our sweet kitty uncomfortable. The difference in how our cat feels and how she looks was striking in the best possible way. Also a huge plus: Jana does house calls, which means you don’t have to go through the stress of putting your cat in the carrier, and Jana sends you a report on the end that shows what kind of grooming your cat had and how they did. I can’t recommend Jana enough.
